Go Outdoors for Science

Turn your outdoor adventures into scientific expeditions by traversing to one of the sites below!

Welcome to the launch page for Phase Two of Cape Citizen Science. This phase is designed to facilitate an important study about the distribution and diversity of Phytophthora species in the soils of the fynbos. Below you will see 30 sites spanning three different subclasses in the Fynbos Biome of the Western Cape Province.

Because each site may require specific permissions for sampling, we ask that you contact us if you are uncertain and indicate which site you would like to collect soil from (e.g. F1 or S9, etc.).
